About Scriptum Editions
Scriptum Editions, an imprint of Co & Bear Productions (UK) Ltd, is an
independent publishing house based in London. Established in 1996, by Beatrice Vincenzini, Scriptum Editions is one of the foremost publishers of high quality illustrated books specialising in interior design, fashion and photography, botanical art, natural history and exploration.
Combining a strong sense of design, high quality production and established
connections with prestigious museums, societies and galleries, such as The
Natural History Museum, the Royal Horticultural Society and the Royal
Geographical Society, Scriptum Editions continue to publish titles on
exploration, natural history and botanical art from outstanding collections of images and artworks, which would otherwise have remained hidden from the public eye.
Co&Bear merged with Francesco Venturi's, already established photography and travel publishing house, Cartago, in 2004. The Cartago list is now part of the Scriptum Editions catalogue. Francesco remains a joint partner and co-publisher of the newly merged company.
Due to our established professional and personal contacts with authors,
photographers and homeowners all over the world and our reputation for quality, Scriptum Editions has been allowed to view, photograph and write about exclusive private residences which have never before been published. The result is a unique list, which boasts some of the most original and exclusive lifestyle and interior design titles available.
Represented and distributed by Thames and Hudson, Scriptum Editions have an
established global presence. As Co & Bear Productions, we have developed
international co-edition links with some of the finest illustrated publishers around the globe including: Rizzoli International and Abrams Books (USA), Frederking und Thaler and Collection Rolf Heyne (Germany), and Editions Menges and Flammarion (France), who publish many of our titles in their own countries and languages.
